Recognition

The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) announced that $6,950,900 will be awarded to 163 schools through the Arkansas School Recognition Program. The Arkansas School Recognition Program (Ark. Code Ann. § 6-15-2107) provides financial awards to the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student performance on the state-required assessments in grades 3 through 10 and the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student academic growth, including high school graduation rates.                                

Farmington High School will receive $63,500 for being rated in the top 5% of high student academic growth and graduation rates in Arkansas. Pop Williams Elementary will receive $20,100 for being in the top 10% of academic growth and achievement. Farmington Junior High School has garnered statewide recognition as a 2023 "School on the Move Toward Excellence." The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) acknowledged the school's achievements in boosting its letter grade to a B and increasing its “ESSA School Index Score” by five or more points.
