At last night's April board meeting, Dr. Joe McClung, Ed.D. was named Assistant Superintendent at Farmington Public Schools. His job duties consist mostly of directing federal programs and curriculum. Dr. McClung, along with Ms. Stephanie Pinkerton, are the district's two current assistant superintendents. Superintendent Jon Laffoon states, "Joe is a progressive thinker that envisions the same goals that myself and our Board of Directors have for this growing school district."
This job was vacant due to of the retirement of Ms. Terri Strope. Terri had worked in the Farmington District for twenty years and had been in public school education for thirty-one years.
